Keep Things Simple

YES:

Focus on your blog + your content.
Focus on what you can control, the basic structure of your site.
Try to spend 10 minutes here and there learning about site speed, but then continue writing content.
Accept that this IS too technical for you and you will learn more about it later but, in the meantime, it will NOT stop you from progressing.

NOPE:

Go down the rabbit hole and drown in information overload.
Go to Fiverr to pay someone to help you with your site speed.
Lose focus and assume your site will not rank because of a "speed number"
Let this consume you or worry you in any way shape or form.
